SportsNow offers an integration with Salto. This allows you to connect your Salto KS access control solution from Salto Systems directly to the SportsNow member management system and fully automate access management for your members. The integration provides a quick and easy setup as well as automatic synchronization of all members. It also enables the automatic management of access media and access groups based on the member's pass.


How does it work?

  • All members in SportsNow are automatically synchronized with Salto KS. Synchronization takes place several times a day.
  • Access control is not handled through SportsNow, but externally via Salto KS.
  • Members with a valid pass automatically receive the corresponding access rights in Salto KS. These rights are automatically removed when a pass expires or is deleted.
  • All access rights in Salto KS can be assigned to a pass in SportsNow.

Good to know

  • With the Salto KS access control solution, you can define who is allowed to enter your studio premises. For check-in at your studio, you can additionally use SportsNow's internal check-in solutions. You can find more information here: Check-in and access control explained
  • People created manually in Salto KS are not synchronized with SportsNow. Members must be created and managed in SportsNow in order to be synchronized with Salto KS.
  • Members synchronized by SportsNow are identified in Salto KS with «Managed by SportsNow» in the «Alias» field.
  • A member requires at least one assigned badge and a valid pass in SportsNow to gain access via Salto KS: Assign a badge to members
  • Schedules: Access control allows you to create schedules for each pass. This lets you define the days and times during which your members are granted access. The schedules can be configured in Salto KS, not in SportsNow.
  • Important: To activate this integration, salto@sportsnow.ch must be added as a user in Salto with the «Site admin» role.


Step-by-step instructions

Connect Salto KS

On the web

  • You must have an existing and fully configured Salto KS account.
  • In Salto KS, add a user with the email address salto@sportsnow.ch and assign the «Site admin» role to this user.
  • Then click «Apps & Integrations» in the SportsNow admin area.
  • Select «Salto KS».
  • Site-ID: Enter the ID of your site in Salto KS. You can obtain this information from Salto.
  • Click «Save settings» to establish the connection.
  • You can now link your access groups in Salto KS to your passes in SportsNow.


Access groups

  • Click the «Access groups» box to open it.
  • You will now see a table with two columns: «Access groups» and «Pass».
  • Select all passes from SportsNow that you want to link to the corresponding access group for your members in Salto KS. Tip: Hold down the CTRL key (Windows) or the ⌘ key (Mac) to select multiple passes.
  • Priority: Optionally set the priority of the access group if a pass is linked to multiple access groups. The access group with the higher priority will be given preference.
  • Click «Save settings» to save the links.
